| Obverse description | Broad oval hammered gold flan with a distinctive horizontal-line texture across the entire field, produced by hammering. A bold vertical inscription in cursive Japanese calligraphy (sōsho style) is applied in black ink at the center, denoting the denomination and the assayer's signature. Four small circular floral kiri (paulownia) crests are stamped in gilt at the cardinal points of the oval — one at the top, one at the bottom, and one on each lateral side — serving as authentication marks of the Gotō family assay office. |

Two small oval or circular gilt seal stamps are impressed into the field, one near the upper center and one toward the lower center, serving as further assay guarantees.
