| Reverse description | The reverse field has been entirely machined off, leaving a flat, featureless surface with concentric lathe-turning marks radiating from a central pivot point. A beaded border encircles the plain field, consistent with the coin's original collar. This deliberate obliteration was carried out to remove what was originally the portrait effigy of King Edward VIII, making this a reverse trial piece used to test the obverse (ram) die in isolation. |
