Obverse description Facing right bust of a mitred bishop in high relief, rendered in a crude but expressive Romanesque style characteristic of early 13th-century Low Countries coinage. The bishop's mitre is prominently depicted atop the head, with the crozier held before him. The legend surrounds the effigy within the irregular flan, with pellets and decorative elements visible in the field. The engraving is bold and schematic, typical of hammered ecclesiastical deniers of this period.
