| Obverse description | Small bust of Count Floris V facing left, rendered in a stylised medieval manner with visible facial features and hair, enclosed within a beaded inner circle. The surrounding legend in uncial Latin reads F COMES OLLANDIE (Floris, Count of Holland), separated from the bust by the beaded border. The portrait, known as the 'kopje' (little head), is characteristic of the crude but distinctive hammered coinage of medieval Holland. |
