Reverse description The crowned coat of arms of Monaco occupies the central field, displaying the characteristic fusily shield of the Grimaldi family — a lozenge pattern of argent and gules arranged in diagonal rows. The shield is surmounted by a princely crown adorned with floral ornaments. A circular Latin legend surrounds the design, reading AVXIL. MEVM . A . DOM. 1707., a devotional motto meaning 'My help comes from the Lord,' with the date incorporated into the legend. A beaded inner border frames the reverse field.
