Reverse description The reverse displays a figural composition in high relief, likely representing a seated or enthroned bishop or count, consistent with the iconography of Count Dietrich of Formbach-Neuburg. The central figure is flanked by attendant forms or architectural elements rendered in the crude but vigorous Romanesque manner typical of Austrian regional pfennige of the early twelfth century. Surrounding the central design is a beaded inner circle with further pseudo-lettering or degenerate legend in the outer field. The irregular flan and variable strike are characteristic of hammered coinage of this period and region.
