Obverse description A cruciform arrangement of four beaded circles, each terminating in a small cross, with a central beaded ring at the intersection. The four outer beaded circles are joined by curved beaded arcs, each enclosing a single pellet in the resulting lunate fields. Two letter-like symbols (ΩΩ) appear in the outer field, flanking the design. The overall composition is characteristic of the ornate bracteate-influenced Pfennig style of the mid-twelfth-century Austrian region.
