Obverse description Architectural facade depicted in low relief, featuring a central tower or gatehouse flanked by two lateral towers with beaded or crenellated detailing. Beneath the central structure, a rounded arch encloses a prominent six- or seven-pointed star in the lower field, a motif characteristic of Bavarian and Austrian bracteate-influenced pfennigs of the early 12th century. The overall composition is bold and schematic, consistent with the Romanesque artistic conventions of the period. No legible legend is present, the design filling the irregular flan to its edges.

Reverse description Depicted in low relief, a mounted equestrian figure is shown in profile facing right, seated upon a horse in a striding pose, with the rider appearing to carry a weapon or sceptre. To the left of the horse, a crescent or curved device is visible, a common heraldic or symbolic element on Formbach coinage of this period. The die work is rough and schematic, typical of hammered pfennigs struck under regional Austrian county authority in the first half of the 12th century. The flan is irregular and the reverse strike notably weaker than the obverse, with some areas of flat strike at the periphery.
