Reverse description Plain cream paper printed in dark red letterpress with four numbered regulatory clauses governing payment, erasure, expiry, and crossing of the note. A bold introductory paragraph in italic type heads the text, and the imprint 'PRINTED BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE GOVERNMENT OF THE COMMONWEALTH OF AUSTRALIA' appears at the foot.
Reverse lettering The Purchaser of this Note must fill in the Name of the Post Office at which payment is desired and the name of the person to whom payment is to be made; the person so named must sign the receipt at the foot thereof. / 1. After this Note has once been paid (to whomsoever it is paid), the Postmaster-General will not be liable for any further claim. / 2. If any erasure or alteration is made, or if the Note is cut or defaced, or mutilated, payment may be refused. / 3. After the expiration of six months from the last day of the month of issue, a commission fee equal to the original poundage will be charged before payment is made on this Note. / 4. A Postal Note may be crossed, in which case it will be paid only through a Bank, but, should the Bank make a charge on such deposits, the Note, though crossed, will be paid at a Post Office direct to the payee. / PRINTED BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE GOVERNMENT OF THE COMMONWEALTH OF AUSTRALIA
