| Obverse description | A wreath occupies the central field, rendered in a somewhat crude, irregular style typical of Judaean provincial bronze coinage of the early Imperial period. The legend ΙΟΥ ΛΙΑ appears within or around the wreath, referencing Julia Livia, mother of the emperor Tiberius. The flan is irregular and the strike is characteristically uneven, with portions of the design weakly impressed. Some specimens exhibit a retrograde or blundered form of the obverse legend, reflecting the variable quality of production at the Jerusalem mint. |

| Reverse description | A palm branch or ear of barley is depicted centrally, rising vertically from the lower field, with symmetrically arranged leaflets extending on either side — a motif closely associated with Judaean coinage of the period. Flanking the branch at the lower left and right are the Greek regnal date letters LΒ, denoting year 2 of Tiberius (15-16 AD). The flan is irregular and the strike crude, consistent with hammered bronze production at the Jerusalem mint under Prefect Valerius Gratus. |
