Reverse description A palm branch or lily (possibly a stylized palm frond) depicted upright in the field, flanked by subsidiary foliage or branch tips extending to either side, evoking the palm branch motif common to Judaean provincial coinage. The Greek date letters LΓ (regnal year 3) appear to the left of the central motif, denoting the third year of Tiberius. The design is rendered in the simple, bold style characteristic of hammered Judaean prutot, on an irregular, small flan with a dotted border.
