Obverse description Central vignette presents a finely engraved portrait of the Javan Hawk-Eagle (Spizaetus bartelsi) set against a mountainous tropical landscape, with the scientific name inscribed below the bird; a stylised golden eagle silhouette in intaglio occupies the upper left quadrant, while a dynamic orange flying eagle vignette appears in the upper centre. The design is framed by intricate guilloche underprint patterns in purple, gold, and brown tones, overlaid with micro-text security elements, and the series title "THE INSPIRING TALES" together with the numeral "3.0" and the PERURI logo are typeset at the top and bottom respectively.

Reverse description Central intaglio vignette presents a detailed engraving of the Statue of Wisnu Rides Garuda, symbolising protection and divine sovereignty, flanked on the left by an ancient stone-carving style illustration narrating the Garuda legend; batik-inspired guilloche underprint patterns, feather motifs, and Garuda silhouettes fill the field in purple, orange, light blue, and gold. The series title "3.0 THE INSPIRING TALES" appears at the upper left, with the PERURI logo, the founding reference "PP15091971", and serial number printed in the lower portion for authentication.

Perum Peruri — the state security printer established in 1971 — produces Indonesian banknotes entirely in-house at its Karawang facility, one of the few countries in the developing world with full domestic control over its currency production chain. This particular note is a test piece, issued under the printer's own name rather than Bank Indonesia, which places it outside the official circulation series entirely.

Test notes from Perum Peruri occasionally surface in the collector market but carry no face value and were never legal tender.
