Reverse description A bee depicted in full frontal view occupies the central field, its wings spread symmetrically to either side and its segmented body rendered in low relief — a motif with strong Hellenistic iconographic precedent. An Aramaic inscription naming the issuing ruler Mithradates surrounds the central device, disposed around the periphery of the flan.
