| Obverse description | Diademed portrait bust of King Apodakos facing right, rendered in the Hellenistic tradition with naturalistic facial features, wavy hair swept back beneath the diadem, and a strong profile. The effigy displays fine die-cutting characteristic of Characenian royal coinage, with the diadem ties visible behind the neck. The portrait occupies the central field, with the coin's irregular flan typical of hammered silver issues of the period. |
