Obverse description Central device depicts a Torah crown formed by the three Hebrew letters of the word 'Tanach' (representing Torah, Prophets, and Writings) in high relief. At the lower rim, the State of Israel emblem (menorah with olive branches). The surrounding legend reads in Hebrew on the right and lower portions, and in French on the left: 'TROISIEME CONCOURS INTERNATIONAL DE BIBLE JERUSALEM 1964', with the Hebrew text including the Jewish year 5725.

Reverse description Lower field features a finely detailed ancient Jewish oil lamp in relief, decorated with a menorah (seven-branched candelabrum) panel. Above the lamp, a large Hebrew inscription in the field reads the biblical citation from Psalms 119:97. Along the upper rim, the same citation appears in Greek (Septuagint): 'ΩΣ ΗΓΑΠΗΣΑ ΤΟΝ ΝΟΜΟΝ ΣΟΥ ΚΥΡΙΕ PSALM 118:97'. A small cartouche in the lower left field bears the mint name in Hebrew.
