| Reverse description | Frontal bust of similar schematic character to the obverse, centrally placed within the field, with the same simplified facial rendering and helmet-like headgear typical of Sisebut's coinage at Bracara. Below the bust, two crossed torques or scepters appear as on the obverse, reinforcing the royal symbolism. A Latin cross is visible at the top of the field among the surrounding ornamental elements. The field is densely filled with star-form pellets and triangular punched devices in the characteristic Visigothic decorative idiom. The coin is bordered by a fine dentilated rim consistent with hammered tremisses of this mint and reign. |
