| 备注 |
Boltaña is a small municipality in the Huesca province of Aragon, and like hundreds of Spanish towns it resorted to locally produced small-denomination paper during the Civil War when Republican authorities struggled to maintain an adequate supply of fractional coinage. These emergency emissions — known as "moneda local" — were often printed or hand-stamped by the town council itself, on whatever card stock was available. The Gari Montero catalogue documents the bewildering proliferation of such issues, and Boltaña's 5-céntimo piece is among the more obscure provincial entries.
Survival is partly a function of how long the issuing town remained behind Republican lines.
