Jacek Gmoch coached Poland to third place at the 1974 World Cup — one of the most surprising tournament runs in Polish football history — and this souvenir zero-denomination note was issued in 2021 by the Warsaw Museum of Sport and Tourism as part of the broader EuroSouvenir program administered through the Monnaie de Paris. The series has issued hundreds of collector pieces under the 0 Euro format, all printed by Oberthur Fiduciaire on genuine cotton banknote stock with a watermark, giving them the physical feel of legal tender they are not. Fransowski handled the design. The Monnaie de Paris retains nominal issuing authority over the format by treaty arrangement, which is why these carry any legitimacy at all as numismatic objects.
