EuroSouvenir's zero-denomination collector notes occupy a strange corner of the numismatic world — legal in design but utterly without legal tender status, they exist purely by arrangement with the European Central Bank, which permits the format provided no face value is claimed. Oberthur Fiduciaire prints them to full security-note specification regardless, using the same production line as circulating issues.
The Museu do Caramulo, in the Serra do Caramulo range of central Portugal, holds one of the more eccentric museum collections in Iberia — its holdings span vintage automobiles and fine art, a pairing owed entirely to the collector instincts of its founding family, the Sommer dynasty, who assembled both under one roof beginning in the 1950s.
