0 Euro Palacio Gaudí Astorga

The Palacio Episcopal de Astorga — better known by its association with Antoni Gaudí, who took the commission in 1887 following the destruction of the original bishop's palace by fire — is one of only three Gaudí works outside Catalonia. He resigned from the project in 1893 after clashing with the Diocese over funding and never saw it completed. Oberthur Fiduciaire, which handles a substantial share of the EuroSouvenir program's production, printed this on the same security substrate used across the commemorative zero-euro series.
