Euro Souvenir notes are a private collector scheme launched around 2015, produced under license to mimic genuine euro banknote aesthetics without holding any legal tender status. Oberthur Fiduciaire, one of the two main French security printers, handles the bulk of the series — the same facility that prints official currency for numerous African and Pacific states. The Train de l'Ardèche, a narrow-gauge steam railway running along the Doux river gorge, is a working heritage line, not a museum piece, still hauling passengers through the Ardèche département on original infrastructure dating to 1891.
