The zero-euro souvenir note program, administered by the CMN and EAS (Euro Banknote Service), operates on a simple premise: Oberthur prints genuine security paper with genuine intaglio printing, but the denomination renders it legally worthless as currency. That technical authenticity is precisely what the collector market pays for. Oberthur has produced French banknotes since the nineteenth century, so the production pedigree is not trivial.
Villa Savoye, a pilgrimage site for architecture students, was completed by Le Corbusier and Pierre Jeanneret in 1931 and fell into severe disrepair before the French state classified and rescued it in the 1960s — narrowly avoiding demolition during the Poissy municipal expansion.
