| Obverse description | The national arms of Panama are displayed centrally in the field, rendered in heraldic style. Above the shield, a horizontal row of stars represents the provinces of Panama — nine stars on KM#127.1 (the earlier type) and ten stars on KM#127.2 (the revised type, reflecting the creation of a tenth province). The legend REPUBLICA DE PANAMA arcs along the upper periphery, while the national motto PRO MUNDI BENEFICIO is inscribed across the lower portion of the arms. The date appears in the lower exergual area below the shield. |
