| Beschrijving voorzijde | A broad, stylized conch shell (sankha) rendered in low relief occupies the central field, executed in the highly abstracted artistic idiom characteristic of Mon coinage of the late 8th to early 9th century. The device is enclosed within a beaded circle composed of uniform raised pellets, forming a clear inner border. The surrounding field between the beaded circle and the coin's irregular rim is flat and unadorned. No inscriptions or legends appear on this side. The overall design reflects the Buddhist and Brahmanical iconographic traditions prevalent in the Mon kingdoms of Lower Burma. |
