Obverse description Central design features a square frame enclosed within a circle. Within the square, multiple lines of Arabic Kufic or Naskhi script bear the name and honorific titles of the Ayyubid ruler Salah al-Din (Saladin). The area between the square and the outer circular border carries the mint name and the regnal or Hijri date in Arabic legend. The overall composition is characteristic of Ayyubid hammered silver dirhams, with angular geometric framing contrasting against the circular flan.

Reverse description Central design features a square frame enclosed within a circle, mirroring the obverse composition. Within the square, multiple lines of Arabic script carry the name and honorific titles of the Abbasid Caliph al-Mustadi (r. AH 566–575) or the reigning caliph of the period, affirming religious legitimacy. The surrounding field between the square border and the coin's edge is plain or bears additional legend fragments. The overall layout follows the standard Ayyubid formula of acknowledging Abbasid suzerainty on the reverse of provincial silver coinage.
