Fiji has no meaningful connection to the Hubble Space Telescope — the issuing authority here is purely nominal, a sovereign lending its name to a bullion and collector product underwritten by a private minting house. The Hubble was launched in April 1990 aboard Space Shuttle Discovery, and its early years were marred by a flawed primary mirror that required a 1993 servicing mission to correct, a repair conducted in orbit by astronauts over five spacewalks.
