Obverse description A Tudor crown is depicted above the central round hole, which serves as the focal point of the design. The denomination legend arcs around the hole in two scripts: the Latin inscription ONE HALFPENNY appears above, while the Arabic equivalent نُصْف پَنّي is inscribed below. The royal legend EDWARDVS VIII REX ET IND:IMP: encircles the outer field. The coin is struck with a milled border of fine denticles running along the rim.
