| Reverse description | Entirely engraved in deep purple-brown on a fine guilloche ground, the reverse is dominated by the bold central legend HALF LIBYAN POUND within an ornate cartouche, above the date 1ST JANUARY, 1952. A legal tender clause in English occupies a rectangular panel at upper centre, flanked by two large rosette guilloche medallions. The denomination fraction 1/2 appears at each corner, and a broad engine-turned border frames the entire composition. |
