| 正面描述 | The note is framed by an elaborate scrollwork border with interlocking guilloche ornamentation filling the outer field. At centre, a rectangular cartouche encloses the provincial arms vignette — an oval seal with sunburst and clasped hands motif — above the denomination inscription MEDIO REAL, with a manuscript signature below. A handwritten serial number appears at the top of the central cartouche. |

| 备注 |
Corrientes was one of the few Argentine provinces that operated with genuine monetary independence for decades, issuing its own paper currency from 1839 onward in near-total disregard of Buenos Aires. This ½ Real belongs to the earliest layer of that provincial emission, a period when the Banco Provincial de Corrientes was functioning less as a modern bank than as a fiscal convenience for a government perpetually short of coin. The notes were printed locally — rudimentary by any measure — reflecting the very limited typographic resources available in the provincial capital at the time.
Surviving examples are genuinely rare. Most circulated hard in a small regional economy before being lost or destroyed.
