| Obverse description | Within a raised border of fine milling, a central field displays the Arabic mint name مسقط (Muscat) in the upper register, followed by the Hijri date ١٣١٥ (1315) in Eastern Arabic numerals, and the denomination 1/4 ANNA in Latin characters below.
