| Opschrift voorzijde | FESSUL BIN TURKEE IMAM OF MUSCAT AND OMAN مسقط في ضرب ٥١٣١ ANNA 1/4 |
| Beschrijving keerzijde | The reverse displays a three-line Arabic inscription within a central field enclosed by a stylized floral and foliate wreath border. The legend reads 'فيصل بن تركي سلطان عمان' (Faisal bin Turki, Sultan of Oman), identifying the ruling authority. The wreath, composed of palm or laurel-like branches tied at the base, frames the inscription symmetrically. The coin's milled edge is visible at the periphery, and the fields show the characteristic roughness of Muscat Mint hand-press production. |

KM#13 is the error variety of the standard quarter anna issued under Sultan Faisal bin Turki, distinguished by a retrograde date — the numerals struck in mirror image, almost certainly the result of a die engraver cutting the date directly rather than working from an intermediate transfer, a straightforward but consequential slip. Muscat and Oman's coinage during this period was produced under inconsistent oversight, and quality control at the striking facility left room for exactly this kind of error to reach circulation uncorrected.
