| 表面の説明 | Right-facing unadorned bust effigy of King Hussein bin Talal, rendered in high relief with naturalistic portraiture detail. The king is depicted without headgear, showing close-cropped hair and strong facial features characteristic of Philip Nathan's medallic style. An Arabic legend curves along the left and right fields, identifying the monarch and his royal title. The field is smooth, and the coin is bordered by a beaded inner rim adjacent to a reeded edge. |

Pattern issues from the Central Bank of Jordan's 1968 series were struck to evaluate a proposed decimal coinage system ahead of full circulation adoption. This particular denomination — a quarter dirham equivalent — was among several gold trial pieces produced that year, almost certainly at a European mint on contract rather than domestically. Jordan had no minting facility of its own.
The KM#Pn4 designation confirms its pattern status; it never entered circulation and mintage figures, if they survive in CBJ records at all, have not been reliably published.
