Obverse description Central field dominated by a trident (trishula) depicted in bold relief, flanked by Devanagari legends arranged in horizontal registers divided by incuse lines. The royal epithet and name of the ruler, reading 'Shri 2 Jaya Mahindra', are inscribed in Devanagari script surrounding the central device. The entire design is enclosed within a beaded border, typical of hammered Nepalese coinage of the period. The irregular flan reflects the hand-struck manufacture characteristic of early eighteenth-century Kathmandu issues.

Reverse description Central field features a conch shell (shankha), a sacred Hindu symbol, depicted in relief at the centre of the design, with Devanagari inscriptions arranged in horizontal registers above and below, divided by incuse lines. The royal epithet 'Simha Dev' appears in the upper register, while the Nepal Sambat date '835' (corresponding to 1715 CE) is inscribed in Devanagari numerals in the lower register. The whole is surrounded by a beaded border consistent with the hammered coinage tradition of the Kathmandu Valley kingdoms.
