| Obverse description | At centre, a peacock displayed in full fan stands in left profile upon a ground line, its elaborate tail feathers spread in a broad semicircle that fills the upper and lateral portions of the field; individual feathers are finely rendered with ocellated tips in high relief. The device is encircled by a continuous legend in Myanmar script running along the inner border, with the Burmese year ၁၂၂၇ (1227 ME) incorporated into the inscription. A dentilated rim borders the entire obverse. |
