| Obverse description | Hammered silver field bearing the Arabic legend 'Zia'uddin' (ضياء الدين) inscribed in bold, flowing Jawi-Arabic script occupying the entire face of the coin. The inscription is rendered in a characteristic Southeast Asian calligraphic style typical of 17th-century Malay sultanate coinage. Several pellet ornaments are visible around the periphery of the field. The flan is irregular and slightly rounded at the edges, consistent with hand-struck production. |

| Reverse description | Hammered silver field displaying the Arabic legend 'Sultan' (سلطان) together with the Hijri date 1076 (سنة ١٠٧٦), corresponding to 1665 CE, inscribed in bold Jawi-Arabic script across the coin's face. The word 'سنة' (year) accompanies the numerical date, following the standard formula used on Kedah sultanate coinage of this period. The script is rendered in a loose, informal calligraphic hand characteristic of hand-struck Malay coins. The flan shows typical hammer-struck irregularities along its periphery. |
