| Beschrijving voorzijde | The tughra of Sultan Selim III occupies the central field, rendered in the elaborate calligraphic style characteristic of late 18th-century Ottoman coinage. Two floral ornaments (roses) are positioned to the left of the tughra, serving as decorative devices. The coin's rim is bordered by a fine beaded circle. The entire composition is struck on a small, compact flan typical of quarter-denomination zeri mahbub gold pieces. |
