| Reverse description | The reverse, taken from a Monneron frères French Revolutionary token die of 1792, displays an entirely typographic design within a plain inner circle. The central field carries a five-line inscription in French stating the denomination and place of sale, with the word DEUX-SOLS prominently set in large letters. The date 1792 appears in the lower exergue beneath the inner circle. The surrounding legend, set in large capital letters on the outer ring, reads REVOLUTION FRANCAISE. The beaded border frames the entire design, consistent with the milled coinage style of the period. |
