| 备注 |
Canadian lumber camps issued their own scrip throughout the mid-twentieth century, and Camp 10 in Ontario was no exception. This 1 Cent piece belongs to a closed economic system — workers were paid partly in camp scrip redeemable only at the company store, a practice that kept wages circulating internally and reduced the cash the operator needed to carry into remote bush locations.
The 1944–1946 dating window corresponds to wartime and immediate postwar logging operations when labour shortages made camp retention a genuine concern. Low-denomination scrip like this saw the hardest use.
