备注

Cash-For-Churches-And-Charities was a short-lived Sacramento-based redemption scheme — the kind of scrip-adjacent promotional instrument that proliferated in mid-20th century America, typically issued by civic or religious fundraising groups who leveraged consumer purchasing habits to generate small fractional donations. The issuer would collect a percentage from participating retailers, with accumulated tokens redeemed for charitable contributions. Paper "cent" tokens of this type were never legal tender and occupied an ambiguous space between coupon and currency.

Sacramento was an active market for such schemes given its dense network of church-affiliated civic organizations. No federal or state banking authority governed these issues.
