| Aanvullende informatie |
British Honduras occupied an awkward administrative position throughout the Victorian period — nominally a colony from 1862 but governed under arrangements contested by Guatemala, which refused to recognize British sovereignty over the territory for over a century. The cent series of this era was minted at the Royal Mint in London, as the colony had no local striking capacity. KM#6 spans a decade during which the mahogany trade dominated the colonial economy almost entirely, with coinage needs remaining modest enough that mintages across the series were correspondingly small.
