| Obverse description | Plain light buff paper note with typewritten-style letterpress text throughout. The denomination "1¢" appears in each upper corner, with the year 1942 in each lower corner. A central legend in capital letters reads the full issuing authority and colony name, followed by the obligation clause and the denomination spelled out between colons. Three manuscript signatures appear at the lower portion of the note, identified beneath by their respective titles: Disbursing Officer C.L.C., Acting Chief C.L.C., and Chairman E.C.C., with the serial number printed in the lower margin. |
