| Obverse description | Broad, irregularly shaped hammered copper flan bearing Arabic legend in bold, crudely struck Naskh script occupying the central field. The inscription, characteristic of Akbar-period dam coinage, identifies the ruler and regnal year, with individual letterforms showing the typical uneven strike pressure and die misalignment associated with provincial Mughal hammered coinage. The surfaces exhibit an olive-brown and green patina with areas of encrustation consistent with prolonged burial. The flan edges are uneven and show the characteristic shearing marks of hand-cut planchet preparation. |
