Obverse description Central field dominated by a stylized triskelion or cross-like symbol composed of geometric, stepped architectural forms rendered in low relief, characteristic of the Newar hammered coinage tradition of the Patan (Lalitpur) kingdom. The design exhibits a squared, rectilinear arrangement of interlocking elements suggestive of a palace or temple facade motif. The flan is irregular and slightly uneven, consistent with hand-hammered production. The surface shows patination with areas of green encrustation typical of aged copper.
