Beschrijving keerzijde At center, the official FAO emblem — an oval cartouche bearing a stylized wheat sheaf above the acronym 'FAO' and the motto 'FIAT PANIS' — is prominently displayed in relief. The anniversary dates '1945-1995' arc below the emblem, commemorating fifty years of the Food and Agriculture Organization. The denomination '1' appears in large numerals in the lower field, flanked by 'ДЕНАР' in Cyrillic to the left and 'DENAR' in Latin to the right. The upper field carries the bilingual legend 'ЛЕБ ЗА СИТЕ' in Cyrillic and 'FIAT PANIS' in Latin, distributed along the left and right arcs respectively, all within a beaded border.

Aanvullende informatie

Issued as part of the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization's decades-long campaign to place agricultural themes on circulating coinage worldwide, this piece was struck just four years after Macedonia declared independence from Yugoslavia in 1991. The FAO program, which began in 1968, persuaded dozens of issuing authorities to dedicate coin designs to food security awareness — making the series more a product of UN diplomacy than of any domestic monetary policy decision.
