| 备注 |
Iraq's currency law of 1947 transferred note-issuing authority from the British-administered Iraq Currency Board to the newly established National Bank of Iraq, but the transition in practice was slow — the board's notes continued circulating well into the early 1950s. This 1955 issue from Bradbury Wilkinson represents the National Bank operating with genuine institutional footing, though the monarchy that authorized it had fewer than three years left before the 1958 revolution that abolished the kingdom entirely.
Bradbury Wilkinson printed the vast majority of Iraqi currency through this period, making London the effective production center for a sovereign Arab state's paper money — a colonial-era arrangement that outlasted the political relationship that created it.
