The raised Arabic script, executed in the angular Kufic-influenced style typical of Ottoman provincial coinage, fills the interior register with the ruler's titles and religious formulae. The hammered flan is irregular in outline, with characteristic uneven edges and slight surface undulation consistent with hand-struck gold dinars of the late sixteenth century. A secondary inscription band is visible in the outer margin, partially truncated by the irregular flan edge. |
