The Unilateral Declaration of Independence had long since triggered international sanctions, cutting the government off from normal banking relationships and forcing extraordinary administrative continuity — including maintaining De La Rue as printer throughout the crisis, a relationship that persisted despite the political isolation surrounding it.

Krogh's signature appears on notes spanning the very end of the Rhodesian period into the brief Zimbabwe Rhodesia transition. P#38 collectors should note that the series is prone to fading security thread visibility in circulated examples — a known characteristic of the later printings, not damage.
