| Obverse description | The obverse displays the full coat of arms of Trinidad and Tobago centered in the field. The shield, supported by a Scarlet Ibis on the dexter side and a Cocrico bird on the sinister side, bears three Columbus ships in the lower portion and two hummingbirds above a chevron. The crest above features a ship's wheel surmounted by a palm tree, flanked by elaborate mantling. A scroll at the base carries the national motto legend, and the engraver's initials 'CC' appear discreetly to the right of the shield. |
