| 备注 |
Belize gained independence from Britain in 1981, and this 1983 issue was among the earliest notes to circulate under the Central Bank of Belize, which had only been established the prior year. Thomas De La Rue retained the printing contract from the colonial period — continuity of supplier, despite the change in political status.
Elizabeth II remained on the note not as a colonial holdover but because Belize joined the Commonwealth as a constitutional monarchy, a status it retained until becoming a republic in November 2021. Notes of this type consequently have a fixed terminal date for future issues carrying her portrait.
