| Beschrijving voorzijde | The Fijian coat of arms occupies the central field, featuring the quartered shield supported by two Fijian warriors in traditional dress, each holding a spear and a fan respectively. Above the shield, a British lion holds a cocoa pod, and a scroll below bears the national motto in Fijian. The date '2019' is divided across the field, flanking the supporters. The legend 'FIJI' appears in the upper exergue and 'ONE DOLLAR' in the lower exergue, all enclosed within a beaded border. |

| Aanvullende informatie |
Fiji has served as a convenient issuing authority for the international commemorative coin trade since the early 2000s, lending its legal tender status to pieces with no meaningful connection to the island nation. This "Monuments by Moonlight" series was produced for the collector market by a European mint-and-distributor pipeline, with Fiji's nominal authorization a formality rather than a sovereign initiative.
Easter Island's moai were carved by the Rapa Nui people, with major construction occurring between roughly 1400 and 1650 — well before European contact in 1722. The island has been Chilean territory since 1888.
